Williams, Arizona

Northern Arizona is a magical place with so much natural beauty! We can’t wait to show off this area to you during this special five-day Arizona yoga retreat. Arrive on Thursday to Grand Canyon Eco Retreat, our private glamping home base for this retreat experience. From here we’ll take over as you relax into the experience! This retreat combines equal parts inward self care, yoga, and healing rituals with stimulating exploration and hiking adventures! After all, you can’t visit this area without getting your boots nice and red from hiking the Grand Canyon and exploring the vortexes of Sedona!

Grand Canyon Eco Retreat is located in nature outside Williams, AZ. Our elevation is nearly 7000 feet so you can expect warm days and cool nights, even in the summer (highs around 80F in July and August). July and August is monsoon season, the most beautiful time of year, featuring cooling afternoon rains and gorgeous rainbows!

We strive to create community on all our Arizona yoga retreats and we believe you’ll meet like-minded people who will become lifelong friends on this one. Carrie’s yoga classes provide both challenge and relaxation as she teaches you skills for listening in to your body and creating a sustainable self-practice routine. Chef Zach will be serving up delicious plant-based foods for flavor and health! There will also be plenty of time for journaling, meditation, campfires, and star-gazing!

Guided meditations, a traditional sweat lodge, breathwork sessions, and an evening cacao ceremony will take you on a serious internal journey which often involves letting go and opening up to something new. We want to stress that this retreat is for those who really want to do some deep internal recovery and healing work. If you’re looking for a weekend to just relax without any challenges, we suggest you find a different Arizona yoga retreat!

This retreat includes:
A supportive, sober environment for anyone recovering from anything or anyone who is “sober-curious”. We’re all in this together and here to lift each other up!
Lots of free time on Saturday for private sessions, journaling, meditation, or optional activities like visiting a wildlife sanctuary, hiking, SUPing, kayaking, swimming. We’ll give you directions and help for how to find whatever you’d like to do.

The closest airport to the property is Flagstaff Pulliam Airport, about 40 minutes away by car. We can arrange to pick you up in Flagstaff for $100 round trip.

Another option is to fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Phoenix is usually a cheaper flight but it is 3 hour drive from the retreat location.

If you do fly to Phoenix you have several options for getting to our place:

  1. Rent a car. This option is not great because we provide transport on the retreat in our van. This means your rental car will sit around unused for three days. We only recommend this option if you are extending your trip before or after the retreat.
  2. Take the Groome Shuttle from Phoenix to Flagstaff, then get picked up by us in Flagstaff. Last we checked it was around $75 each way for Groome.
  3. Sometimes we drive down to Phoenix to pick people up. This depends on how many in the group need this service. The cost for this is $400 round trip if offered.

Travel booking option:

Since I get a lot of requests for assistance anyway, I decided to offer a new flight booking service for all my retreat guests and friends!

You provide me with your desired travel dates and airports and I will find you the cheapest, best flights possible and book them for you, no extra charge.

I’m a pretty good “travel hacker” thanks to years of experience. We can do this together via Zoom to confirm everything or I’ll make sure to triple check everything with you before booking!

This benefits YOU if online flight searching stresses you out or you just don’t find it fun.

Full disclosure, it benefits Zach and I because I book most of our travel using our credit card points. We have a lot of travel planned this year so we need as many points as possible. You’ll reimburse me and I’ll get the frequent flyer miles to fund my own travel habit, haha.

Could be a win win for all of us?

Let me know if you would like my help with this. I know booking a long journey with multiple connections can be a little bit annoying. But there are also ways to make it more enjoyable — 1 day layover in Tokyo, anyone? For the best prices, you’ll want to book these flights at least 4-6 months before we leave. Reach out when you’re ready if you want my help.

Since all retreat deposits and payments are used to secure venues, activities, and supplies, and since canceled spots require extra time and energy to re-fill, all deposits and payments are non refundable. In emergency situations, you may or may not be offered a credit for a future retreat or event, based on the decision of our team. Cancellations due to fear of travel are not transferable or refundable. Cancellations less than 1 month before your retreat are not refundable or transferable. We recommend travel insurance to protect your investment in the event you must cancel.
