Grand Canyon Eco Retreat, Williams, Arizona

This Arizona women’s retreat with Bigger Life Adventures and Sydney Raye Yoga for female-identifying nature and yoga loving people ages 16+. This retreat is designed to find connection in community and to develop a deeper connection to your true Self and your yoga practice. With facilitation by Carrie and Sydney, we will be diving deep into the Yamas and Niyamas, the first two limbs of the 8-limbed yogic path. Through asana, breathwork, meditation, and journaling, you can expect to learn more about how to live a yogic lifestyle in the modern world. Through this work you can find inner healing, growth, and more love for yourself and those around you.

We strive to create community on our Arizona women’s retreat and we believe you’ll meet like-minded people who will become lifelong friends on this one. Chef Zach will be serving up delicious plant-based foods for flavor and health! There will also be plenty of time for journaling, meditation, campfires, and star-gazing!

Our home base for this Arizona women’s retreat is Grand Canyon Eco Retreat, located in nature outside Williams, AZ. Our elevation is nearly 7000 feet so you can expect warm days and cool nights, even in the summer (highs around 80F late July). July is monsoon season, the most beautiful time of year, featuring cooling afternoon rains and gorgeous rainbows!

This Arizona women’s retreat features guided hikes in Grand Canyon National Park and Sedona, Arizona. We provide transportation to the hikes and packed lunches as well! Trust our many years of guiding experience to show you the coolest, off-the-beaten-path places away from the crowds.

The retreat will also feature a traditional sweat lodge experience with a shaman in Sedona. It’s an amazing experience and a great chance to cleanse physically and emotionally. It’s normal to feel nervous about going into the lodge, but our shaman creates a safe and supportive experience for everyone. Come willing to challenge yourself and be reborn! Most guests consider the sweat lodge one of the highlights of the retreat!

The closest airport to the property is Flagstaff Pulliam Airport, about 40 minutes away by car. We can arrange to pick you up in Flagstaff for $100 round trip.

Another option is to fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Phoenix is usually a cheaper flight but it is 3 hour drive from the retreat location.

If you do fly to Phoenix you have several options for getting to our place:

  1. Rent a car. This option is not great because we provide transport on the retreat in our van. This means your rental car will sit around unused for three days. We only recommend this option if you are extending your trip before or after the retreat.
  2. Take the Groome Shuttle from Phoenix to Flagstaff, then get picked up by us in Flagstaff. Last we checked it was around $75 each way for Groome.
  3. Sometimes we drive down to Phoenix to pick people up. This depends on how many in the group need this service. The cost for this is $400 round trip if offered.

Travel booking option:

Since I get a lot of requests for assistance anyway, I decided to offer a new flight booking service for all my retreat guests and friends!

You provide me with your desired travel dates and airports and I will find you the cheapest, best flights possible and book them for you, no extra charge.

I’m a pretty good “travel hacker” thanks to years of experience. We can do this together via Zoom to confirm everything or I’ll make sure to triple check everything with you before booking!

This benefits YOU if online flight searching stresses you out or you just don’t find it fun.

Full disclosure, it benefits Zach and I because I book most of our travel using our credit card points. We have a lot of travel planned this year so we need as many points as possible. You’ll reimburse me and I’ll get the frequent flyer miles to fund my own travel habit, haha.

Could be a win win for all of us?

Let me know if you would like my help with this. I know booking a long journey with multiple connections can be a little bit annoying. But there are also ways to make it more enjoyable — 1 day layover in Tokyo, anyone? For the best prices, you’ll want to book these flights at least 4-6 months before we leave. Reach out when you’re ready if you want my help.

Since all retreat deposits and payments are used to secure venues, activities, and supplies, and since canceled spots require extra time and energy to re-fill, all deposits and payments are non refundable. In emergency situations, you may or may not be offered a credit for a future retreat or event, based on the decision of our team. Cancellations due to fear of travel are not transferable or refundable. Cancellations less than 1 month before your retreat are not refundable or transferable. We recommend travel insurance to protect your investment in the event you must cancel.
