Arizona Yoga Retreat: 4 Days of hiking, healing, and community
Yoga, meditation, hiking, plant-based food, and more!
Yoga, meditation, hiking, plant-based food, and more!
Our four-day yoga, hiking, and healing retreat in Arizona! Northern Arizona is a magical place with so much natural beauty! Bigger Life Adventures can’t wait to show off this area to you during this customizable four-day retreat!
Arrive on Friday to Grand Canyon Eco Retreat, your serene home-away-from-home for this retreat experience. From here, we will take over as you relax into this experience.
This retreat combines daily meditation and yoga with stimulating exploration and hiking adventures. After all, you can’t visit this area without getting your boots nice and red from hiking in the canyon and exploring the red rock vortexes of Sedona!
We strive to create an intimate community on our Arizona yoga retreat, so each retreat will max out at ten guests. We know from experience that you’ll meet open, like-minded people who could become lifelong friends!
Carrie’s yoga and meditation classes provide both challenge and relaxation as she teaches you skills for listening in to your body and creating a sustainable self-practice routine. Class styles include energizing morning flows and evening deep-stretch yin. Different meditation techniques are taught throughout the weekend so you can find one that works for you. There will also be plenty of down time for journaling, laying in a hammock, campfires, use of our sauna and cold tub, and star-gazing!
The Arizona yoga retreat includes a half-day Sedona hiking and creek swimming trip, plus a half-day Grand Canyon hike and meditation experience. To fully enjoy the excursions you’ll want to have some hiking experience, however alternative activities are available for those who want less challenge.
Chef Zach’s plant-based meals are always a huge hit, even to meat eaters! Our food is complimented so much that Zach is currently writing a cookbook! Guests often comment on how wonderfully filling and delicious his dishes are and how good the feel while eating his food. Meals are all vegan, except for farm fresh eggs which are served at breakfast. (Vegan option available instead of eggs as well.) Craft coffee and a selection of tea is provided each morning before our yoga practice, and drinking water is available throughout the day. We pack picnic lunches to eat on the go during our excursions.
We know there are a lot of misconceptions about the weather in Arizona in summer. This retreat is not based in Phoenix or Sedona (Sedona day trip included). This retreat is in Northern Arizona, at nearly 7000 feet of elevation. The climate is much more similar to Colorado than it is to Phoenix, so it’s basically perfect all summer — highs around 80, lows around 55F.
Extras which can be added included professional bodywork, Reiki sessions, sound healing, art classes, and Ayurvedic health counseling.

All of our glamping-style accommodations include real, comfortable beds with all bedding and towels, solar power for lights and charging electronics, drinking water jugs, and more. Our bathroom has 2 clean, composting toilets and 2 private, hot showers with one wall open to nature. Don’t worry, the showers are fully private from other humans but just open to a view of trees and sky — a real incredible experience! Units are spread out over 10 acres so come prepared to walk for a couple minutes on trails to get from place to place. You will not park right next to your accommodation but we have a wagon to help you transport your belongings.
Our Mongolian yurt is insulated with authentic yak wool and an insulated floor, so it’s the coolest in the summer and warmest in the fall and winter. It’s up on the hillside with a gorgeous view, about a 3-minute walk from the parking and picnic area, and the closest unit to our yoga deck and sauna.

To secure a spot, make your deposit today. Your remaining balance will be due in two equal payments – the first payment 2 months before your arrival, the 2nd payment 1 month before your arrival.
The closest airport to the property is Flagstaff Pulliam Airport, about 40 minutes away by car. We can arrange to pick you up in Flagstaff for $100 round trip.
Another option is to fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Phoenix is usually a cheaper flight but it is 3 hour drive from the retreat location.
If you do fly to Phoenix you have several options for getting to our place:
1. Rent a car. This option is not great because we provide transport on the retreat in our van. This means your rental car will sit around unused for three days. We only recommend this option if you are extending your trip before or after the retreat.
2. Take the Groome Shuttle from Phoenix to Flagstaff, then get picked up by us in Flagstaff. Last we checked it was around $75 each way for Groome.
3. Sometimes we drive down to Phoenix to pick people up. This depends on how many in the group need this service. The cost for this is $400 round trip if offered.
Travel booking assistance:
Since we get a lot of requests for assistance anyway, we decided to offer a new flight booking service for all retreat guests and friends!
You provide us with your desired travel dates and airports and we will find you the cheapest, best flights possible and book them for you, no extra charge.
Carrie is a pretty good “travel hacker” thanks to years of experience. We can do the bookings together via Zoom to confirm everything or she’ll make sure to triple check everything with you before booking!
This benefits YOU if online flight searching stresses you out or you just don’t find it fun.
Full disclosure, it benefits us because I book most of our travel using our credit card points. We have a lot of travel planned this year so we need as many points as possible. You’ll reimburse us and we’ll get the frequent flyer miles to fund our own travel habit, haha.
Could be a win win for all of us?
Since all retreat deposits and payments are used to secure venues, activities, and supplies, and since canceled spots require extra time and energy to re-fill, ALL PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. In true emergency situations, your payment *may* be able to be transferred to a future retreat or event, based on the decision of our team. Cancellations due to fear or travel are not refundable or transferable.
